Hi.
My name's Taylor (he/him). I've been tattooing since 2018, having completed a proper two year apprenticeship in upstate South Carolina. I've worked in both street shop and private studio settings in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.
Growing up on the sea islands of the Low Country has given me a lifelong affinity for the offbeat and macabre, and I believe that shows in my work. I offer a large catalogue of flash designs and reference material for your consideration. Bold, traditionally oriented tattoos will always have my heart, but lately I am leaning into a more nuanced, illustrative style focusing on textures and line variety.
When tattooing, I emphasise client comfort and working quickly and efficiently. Developing relationships with folks I tattoo is important to me, and I do my best to bring a good experience all around. As a cis white man doing traditional-ish tattoos, I believe it's especially important to acknowledge the problematic aspects of tattoo culture both past and present, and bringing something different to the table is at the front of my mind during every appointment. MY STUDIO IS A SAFE SPACE, I am absolutely intolerant of bigotry or hatred.
I have a keen interest in the technical aspects of tattooing, and while I definitely have a preferred creative style to work in, for me tattooing is more of a skilled trade than art. I use a wide range of machines and equipment and feel the need to be in tune with my tools to produce the best, most long lived work.
